Journey Of The Heart In The Sand

fullsizeoutput_10ac
*Dedicated to the heart pictured in post, formed by fishing line, that I  stumbled upon on a beach in Oregon

The unfinished heart, alone in the sand
Constructed by beauty, unnoticed by man
It traveled the waters, chasing the rain
Desiring such droplets that fall without pain
Now guided by the chimes dancing in the breeze,
The wind lifts it into the swirl of the leaves.
Deep in the woods, dew heavy in the air,
The unfinished heart travels sans care.
Until clouds consume the calm,
Wearing darkness as a sash.
As if they were the fire,
Which loves the wood ‘til ash.
Rain begins to fall, streaming life from the sky
As the unfinished heart finds shelter nearby
Away in the forest, rooted under a tree
The unfinished heart feels protected yet free.
Nature’s two-edged beauty imparting food for the soul
And here in this moment the heart becomes whole.
