How endowed we all are,
gifted with the proficiency of perception,
Entrusted with the ability to venture down
the many rabbit holes of

unique understandings
to better comprehend the varying spectrums
of ever-developing thought;
If only we may choose to take the time…
Maybe then we may consider that we are continuously changing beings,
steadily learning from experiences,

old and new,
on a level we may never fully understand.
Maybe then we may see

there can be more to us
than this binary conviction we so often

hold ourselves to
that drives such hate.
Right vs Wrong — Good vs Evil —

Righteous vs Damned
Maybe then we may consider a different truth
behind the angel on our shoulder as

nothing more than
our fear of failure forever seeking universal guarantees.
Arguing across to the devil coated

in what may just be
our insatiable egos disguising their

pleas to be stroked.
Maybe then we may consider the importance
to be aware of the devils on others’ shoulders
rather than ignorant to the jury in our own mind.
